Ruth Imber, Ph.D.

Dr. Imber is a clinical psychologist and psychoanalyst. She is on the faculty of The William Alanson White Institute in New York where she is also a Fellow, Training and Supervising Analyst. She is on the editorial board of the journal Contemporary Psychoanalysis and has published articles and book chapters on various topics including parenting, pregnancy and self-defeating behavior.

She is a member of the American Psychological Association, the New York State Psychological Association and American Psychoanalytic Association, and is a licensed psychologist in the state of New York. She received a certificate in psychoanalysis from the William Alanson White Institute. She earned a Ph.D. in psychology and a Masters of Science from Rutgers - The State University.

Dr. Imber has a private practice in New York City where she works with individual adults in psychotherapy and psychoanalysis and also sees couples for therapy. She can be contacted at 212-873-7754.
